I have asked one thing from the Lord. This I will seek: to remain in the Lord's house all the days of my life in order to gaze at the Lord's beauty and to search for an answer in his temple.

Meditation
Abiding with the Divine transcends mere existence—it's an infusion of life. Without this sacred tether, life's vibrancy fades; we become barren, devoid of the fruits that flourish from a nurtured soul.
To abide is to be perpetually conscious of the Divine presence. It's integrating this awareness into every action, aligning our concerns with the Divine heart, and engaging in an ongoing dialogue, whispering, "What are Your thoughts here?" or promising, "We'll delve deeper into this together."
Abiding means an admission of our need, a reliance on the Spirit's might and bounty. Within this dependence lies our strength—promises grasped, battles fought on our behalf, and wisdom imparted when our own words fail. In our humility, we find an unshakable confidence, comforted by the constancy of Divine company.
To abide is to settle in, not just as guests saved from peril, but as beloved companions invited to a life intertwined. Unlike the fleeting rescue from life's dangers, this is an invitation to a deep, enduring relationship—a household where hearts reside together.
Listening is at the core of abiding; guidance is offered in the daily—diet, destinations, financial stewardship, time management, and the intricacies of our innermost attitudes. Insights for aiding a friend or cherishing a colleague are whispered in the quiet of a listening spirit.
Abiding means the Divine makes a home within us, amidst our imperfections and hidden corners of chaos. Seen in full, yet embraced wholly, we yearn to cultivate a welcoming space for this indwelling presence. It's a mutual delight in shared company, a sense of 'home' that transcends all earthly bounds.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, like David, may my soul's deepest longing be to walk with You through all seasons. Teach me to dwell in Your sanctuary, to draw strength and solace from Your nearness. Let me remember that in joy and in trial, Your presence is my refuge, the wellspring from which all my needs are met. In the quiet of this moment, let Your love be the home where my heart finds its eternal rest. Amen.
